First Landing State Park

Located on the site where English colonists first landed in 1607, First Landing State Park is a National Natural Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Despite being inside urban Virginia Beach, the park offers 20 miles of trails and 1.5 miles of beach facing Chesapeake Bay, and is Virginia’s most visited state park. Habitats found in the park include bald cypress swamps, lagoons, and maritime forest. Cabins and campsites are available for rent.
